Cast iron distributes heat evenly, avoiding annoying hot-spots; it retains heat superbly and, once hot, can be kept up to temperature on minimal heat settings, conserving energy. The base is covered in extremely smooth enamel, making it suitable for use on the smooth surface of ceramic and induction hobs as well as all other types of hobs. A special design feature on the underside of the lid means condensation drips down during cooking, ensuring your end result is moist and effortless.
