The Great British Bake Off (29 August, 8pm, Channel 4) returns after its controversial reincarnation. Channel 4 have spent 75 Million on taking this national institution away from the BBC.
Time moves on and nothing stands still so we will be giving it a chance. The new cast is made up of :
Paul Holywood
Sandi Toksvig
Noel Fielding
Prue Leith
Expect the first couple of episodes to play it safe as things bed in. Preliminary reviews have been mainly positive with indications of Noel fielding being reined in for a while. The chemistry has to be different and it will take time to establish if it is working as everyone would hope. We will miss Mary Berry but wish everyone new best of luck in this new venture.

After the success of the original Great British Bake Off I had my reservations as to whether the new series would be as good and entertaining but their choice of new cast was brilliant, I have been converted, loved it!
